BRIGHT LIGHTS

Belhaven’s Bright Lights is an annual music festival in the Belhaven Neighborhood of Jackson, MS. The event features a variety of experiences to connect people to “bright lights” in the community. Food, art markets, and music stages hosted at local businesses encourage visitors to explore the area.

DJ Daddy Bug is a vinyl-exclusive DJ who creates a unique sound experience that promises human connection and discovery of new favorites.

JACKSON COMICS

Jackson Comics was created in 2022 as a celebration of Jackson, Mississippi’s 200th anniversary. Blake Barnes, a local Jackson writer and filmmaker, created the project and pitched it to several local artists. With their help, the project earned a grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission, as well as much support from local businesses and the communities of our home state.

MISSISSIPPI INVITIATIONAL

The Mississippi Invitational, a biennial exhibition, is a survey of recent works created by contemporary visual artists living and working in the state. Artists from across the state are invited to submit for consideration.

MISSISSIPPI FOOD SYSTEMS FELLOWSHIP

The Mississippi Food Systems Fellowship was started bt the Mississippi Food Justice Collaborative to invest in Mississippians working to build a more healthy, sustainable, and equitable food system.

MALACHI LEADERSHIP YOUTH MINISTRIES

MLYM is a non-profit organization that caters to middle and high school students of all races, cultures, economic levels and locations.  The ministry focuses on teaching and providing training to youth regarding how to be godly leaders for the purpose of sharing God's truth with others, serving God through discipleship, and fulfilling their callings with integrity and humility, while giving God all the glory.
